Four men have been charged with offences following a fight in Gravesend.
At around 5.20am on Sunday 19 February 2023 Kent Police was called after a group of men were seen fighting with each other near Milton Road.
During the incident one man was reported to have sustained an injury, consistent with a stab wound, to his chest. He remains stable in a London hospital.
Officers searched the area and five men were arrested in connection with the incident.
Car on fire
A car found on fire in Parrock Street at around 2.20am is also being linked to the later disorder and the cause of the fire is currently being treated as suspicious.
Four men have since been charged in connection with the disturbance.
- A 30-year-old man from Gravesend, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, violent disorder and possessing a bladed object in a public place
- A man aged 23, from Gravesend, has been charged with violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place
- A 22 year-old man from Gravesend, has been charged with violent disorder
- A man aged 32, from Gravesend, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
All four men are due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 20 February).
A 23-year-old man from Brighton, who was also arrested, has been bailed until Tuesday 9 May while officers carry out further enquiries.
