A 33-year-old man from Ramsgate has been charged with 11 offences following a series of thefts targeting Thanet supermarkets.

Between January and April 2026, the individual is alleged to have carried out 10 separate thefts across Ramsgate and Broadstairs, specifically targeting items such as meat, clothing, confectionery and alcohol.

The total value of the stolen goods, which included steaks, mini eggs, and bottles of spirits,is estimated to be approximately £1,100.

Authorities arrested the suspect on Thursday, April 23. He appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court the following day, where he was granted bail. The legal proceedings are set to continue, with his next court appearance scheduled for July 8.
