Just before 1pm on Monday 13 April 2026, Kent Police was alerted that a Nissan Navara matching the description of one that had been reported stolen from Maidstone was in the area.

Kent Police Officers attended and located the vehicle stopped in a garage off Main Road and checks revealed it was not the vehicle they were looking for but was stolen, so it was seized!

Further checks in the area resulted in another two suspected stolen cars of the same model being found in a farm shed in the Lower Stoke area and later, while officers were waiting for the vehicles to be recovered, another Navara drove past and checks revealed that too was suspected to have been stolen. It has since been recovered.

No arrests have been made but an investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
