Detectives investigating a serious assault in Swanscombe have charged an 18-year-old man with two offences.
Kent Police was called to Gun Road, Swanscombe at 7pm on Monday 23 March 2026. Officers attended along with paramedics and treated a man in his 30s for injuries consistent with stab wounds before he was taken to a London hospital. The victim has since been discharged.
A man aged 18, from Northfleet, was arrested on Wednesday 25 March and has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place. He has been remanded and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 27 March 2026.
A 41 year old man and 16 year old girl who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have both been released on bail while the investigation continues. Enquiries have identified the location of the alleged assault as an alleyway between Lewis Road and Sweyne Road.
