Firefighters battled a house fire on Peter Street, Folkestone yesterday afternoon, 21 December, 2025 after a household charger appears to have suffered a catastrophic electrical fault.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the blaze at 15:43. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, where crews utilized breathing apparatus and high-pressure hose reel jets to tackle the flames.
The fire was successfully extinguished by 17:06.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported and officials have confirmed the cause was accidental, originating from an electrical fault in an electrical charger.
