Police are hunting two men after a failed attempt to steal a woman’s handbag in Rochester. The victim, in her 40s, was walking along John Street when she was approached from behind by two men who tried to grab her bag. The woman fought back, and the pair fled empty-handed.
The suspects are described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, and aged between 20 and 30. One had spiky brown hair and was wearing a knee-length black coat, blue jeans, and trainers. The second man was bald and wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans, and trainers.
Detectives believe several people may have witnessed the incident, including a woman who was nearby. They are urging anyone with information to contact them on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/23658/25.
