Police efforts to tackle and prevent anti-social behaviour have contributed to a peaceful weekend across local coastal towns.
Increased patrols by police officers and the strategic use of enforcement measures, including dispersal notices and Community Protection Warnings are having a positive impact. Local authorities report that the vast majority of visitors were able to enjoy the warm weather without disruption from troublemakers.
Over the weekend, there were no incidents on the beaches requiring arrests, and officers had no need to issue dispersal orders. Three penalty notices were issued for breaching public space regulations regarding alcohol consumption in designated areas.
