A child sex offender from Tonbridge who is currently in prison for separate sex offences, was sentenced to a further 8 years’ imprisonment after 2 additional victims came forward.
Christopher Hutson’s latest victims reported their ordeal to the police after learning he had been convicted for targeting another child. The 66 year old committed the offences at his home over several years prior to 2017.
Hutson, formerly of Lodge Oak Lane in Tonbridge, was charged with 7 offences including rape, sexual assault, and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. He denied the offences but was found guilty following a trial and on Friday 19 June 2026, Hutson was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court. When he is released, Hutson will have to serve a further 2 years on licence.

‘This criminal is a prolific offender who showed no remorse for his actions and opted to put the two victims through the ordeal of a trial.
‘He might have been considered for parole next year but will now spend further time in prison due to the courage of these latest victims. I would like to commend them both for supporting the investigation and ensuring this man was brought to justice. I hope this sentencing allows them some closure.
