A 36-year-old Rochester man has been remanded in custody after being charged with two counts of sexual assault. The charges follow an investigation by local authorities into reports of two women being inappropriately touched over their clothing by a stranger in the Crow Lane area.
The first incident was reported on the morning of Wednesday, March 11, with a second similar encounter occurring at the same location the following day. In response, investigators conducted an extensive search for evidence, including house-to-house inquiries and a comprehensive review of local CCTV footage.
Following a court appearance on Monday, March 16, he was ordered to remain in custody until a scheduled hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on April 20.
