Police are appealing for witnesses after a violent disturbance broke out in Ramsgate town centre early Saturday morning. Two teenagers have been arrested following the incident which left a man in his 30s requiring hospital treatment.

Kent Police were called to Broad Street, near the Hardes Street junction, shortly before 1am on February 1, 2025, following reports of a large-scale altercation between two groups. A man in his 30s was allegedly assaulted by a group of males before they fled the scene.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service treated the injured man at the scene, however his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Meanwhile police officers swiftly arrested two 16-year-old boys from the local area in connection with the incident. They are currently in custody while police continue their investigations.

Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the disturbance to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police.
