CCTV and dashcam footage are being urgently sought after a man reported he was kidnapped and robbed in Tonbridge after visiting an address is Mann Square at around 10.30pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
The victim, who is in his 20s, alleged he was assaulted and was placed in a blue Vauxhall Astra and driven to Leigh where property belonging to him was stolen at around 11.15pm. It is understood the vehicle briefly stopped in Leigh Road during the journey, near the junction with Stocks Green Road.
Investigators are appealing to witnesses who may have seen the incident in Mann Square to contact them. They are also asking residents with CCTV and drivers with dashcam to check for footage of the Vauxhall Astra travelling to and from Leigh between 10.30pm and 11.25pm.
On Sunday 21 April, three men were arrested in connection with the incident.
Three men from Tonbridge aged 21, 19 and 29 were later charged with kidnap, demands with menaces, assault, possession of a knife in a public place and robbery. The suspects appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday 22 April. They were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 20 May.
