Police investigators working with neighbourhood officers have arrested a man following a spate of reported burglaries in Tunbridge Wells. The incidents happened in the early hours of Wednesday 24 April 2024 in the Pembury area.
Kent Police were told by residents that outbuildings had been entered overnight and attempts made to get into properties. An investigation was started with local officers visiting the scenes and examining CCTV footage.
On the following day, a 32-year-old suspect of no fixed address was arrested in Brickfields, Pembury and was later charged with five burglaries and two attempted burglaries. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 29 April, where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 24 May.
