Plain clothes beat officers spotted suspicious activity during a patrol in the Military Road area on Monday 4 March 2024, leading to the search of a van. This in turn led to further searches of two properties by officers from Canterbury’s Neighbourhood Task Force, one house in Canterbury and another in Herne Bay.
More than a kilo of suspected cocaine, cash estimated to total more than £10,000 and high-value designer goods were seized as part of the investigation.
A Canterbury man has since been charged by East Kent CID with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. The 41-year-old appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 5 March and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 8 April.
