Kent Police was called to Hurst Grove in Ramsgate shortly after 7am on Sunday 3 March 2024 following a report that a man had sustained injuries including a suspected stab wound. Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital, from where he has since been discharged.

Detectives have since arrested four men and two women in connection with the incident and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

Subsequently police have charged a man from Margate with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article.

The 29-year-old appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 6 March and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 8 April. The five other people arrested in connection with the incident have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
