Kent Police want to speak to witnesses after a man was reported to have been assaulted during a night out in Rochester.

The victim was in the High Street near Boley Hill at around 1.30am on Saturday 3 February 2024 when he was approached by a man who suddenly punched him, causing him to fall over and hit his head on the floor and rendering him unconscious.

The suspect, who was walking with two other men, is then reported to have picked up the victim’s phone before smashing it onto the floor.

He then left the area and an associate of the suspect put the victim in the recovery position before he also left following the offender in the same direction.

The victim was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. He was later discharged.

The suspect is described as white, around five feet 10 inches tall, of slim build, with mousy blonde hair. He was wearing a black jacket with writing around the top, a white t-shirt and dark trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/18490/24.
