A man has been charged with stalking after a woman reported being followed and verbally harassed in Gillingham.

On Wednesday 25 January 2023, the victim called Kent Police to report the incident as she walked across The Great Lines just before 8pm.

The woman was on the phone to police and confirmed that she knew the man. She arrived home safely and officers went to the area where they arrested a man.

A 46-year-old suspect from Gillingham was charged with stalking. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 27 January 2023 and has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
