Floral Tributes for The Queen

Floral tributes can be laid by the Tenterden War Memorial

“The tributes must not be placed on the steps of the memorial but can be placed around the perimeter by the hedging or on the bricked path. Floral tributes must not be wrapped in cellophane as they will be composted one day after Her Majesty’s funeral, as per her wishes”

Books of Condolence

Where you can sign a book of condolence:

  • St Mildred’s Church, Tenterden
  • Tenterden Town Hall from Monday 12 September (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm until 20 September)
  • Online on the Royal website https://www.royal.uk/send-message-condolence
  • also at venues across the County


Local Proclamation of King Charles III


The Town Mayor of Tenterden will read the Local Proclamation on Monday 12 September 2022 at 4pm from Tenterden Town Hall balcony.


Members of the public are very welcome to attend from the Plaza outside the Town Hall.
