Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought by officers investigating a serious collision in Swanley which has left a motorcyclist suffering serious injuries.

The motorcycle is reported to have collided with a car, which then failed to stop and drove from the scene.

The incident happened between 5.30am and 5.55am on Tuesday 14 June 2022, in Lower Road, close to the junction for Goss Hill.

Officers attended along with ambulance and fire crews and the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to a London hospital with multiple injuries.

On Wednesday 15 June, a 46-year-old man from Swanley was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and for failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

Motorists who use this area are urged to check dashcams for any footage which may assist the investigation.

Local residents, who have yet to speak to the police, are also asked to check doorbell cameras or other private security systems. 

The car involved, believed to be a dark Vauxhall Zafira, was being driven from the direction of Hextable.
