The Port of Dover welcomes the announcement by the government that international cruise sailings from England can resume from 2nd August.

The Port has worked closely with the government, the UK Chamber of Shipping, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Cruise Britain and the many cruise lines that choose Dover, playing an integral part in the development and implementation of an industry framework for Covid-safe cruising.

The Port has already been successfully welcoming cruise lines and their guests back to Dover for domestic cruising, including a number of inaugural calls, which reflects the effectiveness of Dover’s protocols along with its appeal as one of the UK’s leading cruise ports.

This is now the next step on the road to recovery.

In line with government guidance, the port is urging those choosing an international cruise from Dover to abide by all of the Covid requirements in order to maintain their safety and the safety of all those working to revive the industry, which has been demonstrated already through a strong partnership between the port, the cruise lines and health officials.

That way, even more people can begin again to safely enjoy the delights of cruising from the Garden of England.
