Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious single-vehicle collision on the Londonbound A2 near Harbledown early Sunday morning.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the site at 5:25 AM on May 3, 2026, deploying three fire engines to assist with the incident.

Upon arrival, crews worked alongside Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service to secure the area. Firefighters used vehicle stabilization blocks and braces to secure the wreckage before employing hydraulic cutting tools, including the “jaws of life,” to perform a technical rescue.

After being freed from the vehicle, one person was transferred into the care of SECAmb paramedics.
