A Broadstairs man is behind bars after Kent Police discovered a massive stash of cocaine hidden in a bedside drawer.

The discovery was made on Thursday, March 12, when officers executed morning warrants at two local properties as part of a crackdown on drug supply in Thanet. Inside a bedside cabinet, police seized three kilograms of Class A drugs—estimated to be worth £240,000—alongside a significant amount of cash.

A 46-year-old man has since been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. Following an initial appearance at Margate Magistrates’ Court, the accused was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on April 13.
