Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh residents are being reminded of changes to services provided by the district council over the festive period.
All of the details, including changes to opening hours and waste collections, can be found below.
Please bear in mind that responses to enquiries may take longer than usual during the Christmas holidays.
Cllr David Monk, Folkestone & Hythe District Council Leader, wrote in the latest Your District Today residents’ magazine: “I wish you all a healthy and happy Christmas, and a return to normality in the new year.”
Opening hours:
The Civic Centre remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Phone lines will be closed between Friday 25 December and Monday 4 January, but most council services can be accessed 24/7 by visiting folkestone-hythe.gov.uk. Responses to enquiries may take longer than usual.
If you need to contact us in an emergency outside of business hours, please call 01303 221888.

Monday 28 December | Tuesday 29 December |
Tuesday 29 December | Wednesday 30 December |
Wednesday 30 December | Thursday 31 December |

Friday 1 January | Saturday 2 January |
Collections return to normal from Monday 4 January. Residents are encouraged to recycle as much as they possibly can – advice can be found on the recycling page.
Garden waste:
Garden waste collections are taking their usual break for Christmas. The last collection will be on Thursday 24 December, before they resume on Monday 11 January.
If your usual collection day is on a Friday, your garden waste will be collected a day earlier on Thursday 24 December.
