A 45-year-old man has appeared in court charged with assault after an incident at a Folkestone bar.
Kent Police responded to reports of an altercation at The Brickfield bar on Cherry Garden Lane on Thursday afternoon, January 23rd. A man was injured and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, a Folkestone man, was arrested and subsequently charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon (a Stanley knife). He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 25th, and was released on bail. He is scheduled to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on February 24th.
