Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a motorist was struck by an unknown attacker and had her bank cards stolen in Wye late on Monday 14 September.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was driving an orange MG4 EV when she pulled over at the junction of Canterbury Road and Harville Road at around 11:45 pm on Monday, 14 September 2026.
Upon stepping out of her vehicle, she was approached by an unfamiliar man who hit her with an unknown weapon before fleeing the scene in a Ford Fiesta. The driver subsequently noticed that two of her bank cards were missing. She was taken to a local hospital where she received treatment for minor injuries.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the robbery and are calling on anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward. Officers are particularly keen to speak with drivers with dashcam footage or residents along the route with private CCTV.
