Teenage Boys Arrested in £100,000 Arson Probe near Dover


Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson at a Dover farm on Tuesday 18 August 2026 following a report that hay bales were alight in Station Road, St Margaret’s at Cliffe.

Police attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service, who worked extensively to extinguish a large fire. Nobody was reported to have been injured, and numerous livestock were moved to safety. It is believed that the estimated cost in damages to the rural business exceeds £100,000.

On Friday 28 August two 13 year old local boys were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody whilst enquiries continue.
