A suspected Deal burglar has been charged with a series of offences after a number of addresses across the town were targeted.

It was reported to Kent Police that a burglary took place at a property in Albert Road in the early hours of 5 July 2026 in which around £800 in cash was allegedly stolen.

A further break-in was reported on 18 July in Ripple, in which parcels were taken from a porch on Mongeham Road. Enquiries were carried out, including reviewing CCTV and examining forensic evidence and an arrest was later made in the Sholden area.

On 26 August, a Deal man was charged with two counts of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, making off without payment and two driving offences, in relation to a report of a car being stolen from Mill Road on 17 July.

The 24-year-old man was remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court later that day.
