Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a severe road traffic collision on the outskirts of Maidstone.
Emergency services were called to the A26 Maidstone Road near the junction with Old Church Road in Mereworth at around 4.40pm on Tuesday 18 August. The incident involved a white Sinnis Apache motorcycle travelling towards Tonbridge and a black Ford Fiesta heading in the opposite direction.
Police attended the site along with crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service. The motorcyclist, a man in his twenties, sustained severe injuries and was flown by air ambulance to a hospital in London. He remains in a serious but stable condition, and his next of kin have been informed.
An investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, saw either vehicle prior to the incident, or possesses relevant dashcam or private CCTV footage to come forward.
