Police officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 near Aylesford.
Emergency services were called to the scene between junctions 4 and 5 at 3:19 am on Saturday 22 August 2026. A teenage girl who was reported to have been on the carriageway, in the vicinity of a footbridge near Teapot Lane, was struck by multiple vehicles, including a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa. Patrols attended the incident alongside emergency personnel, but she was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Investigators from Kent Police are urgently seeking information from anyone who passed through the area between 3:15 am and 3:28 am and may have seen a pedestrian on the carriageway.
Drivers who were travelling along that stretch of the motorway at the time are urged to review their dashcam footage for anything that could assist the ongoing investigation.
