A 23-year-old registered sex offender from Gillingham has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison after breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Jack Stevens had been made subject to a 10-year order restricting his internet access following a 2025 conviction for making indecent images of children.
During a routine visit on 14 January 2026, Stevens denied possessing any undeclared electronics. However, a search of his home by Police Dog Oakley uncovered a Samsung tablet wrapped in a curtain and hidden behind his bed. Analysis of the seized device revealed an indecent image and a prohibited child image, while officers also discovered he had been using alias names on social media.
Stevens admitted to the breaches at Maidstone Crown Court and received his prison sentence on 13 August 2026. He will remain subject to a further 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order upon release.
