An arrest was made within 10 minutes of a bike robbery which was reported in Chatham.
Kent Police was called at around 10pm on Sunday 28 June 2026 to reports of a teenager being threatened and robbed of his bike in New Road. But within 10 minutes, cops spotted two suspects who fled when they turned up!
After chasing one of the suspects for 40 seconds, a 17 year old from Chatham was apprehended and arrested. A further search uncovered a quantity of cannabis in his possession. The second suspect, another 17 year old from Chatham, was arrested the following day. They have been released on bail while enquiries are ongoing.
