Quick Response Stops Canterbury Car Park Fire From Spreading

A swift response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service prevented serious damage after a fire broke out at a Rosemary Lane car park in Canterbury just after midnight on Wednesday 8 July.

Five fire engines and a height vehicle quickly arrived on scene. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used high-pressure jets to tackle the blaze, which is thought to have begun in a stairwell roof area. Thanks to their efforts, the fire was contained and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
