Detectives investigating a violent incident at a Sittingbourne pub have released a CCTV image of a man they want to track down.
Emergency services rushed to West Street just after 10pm on Saturday 27 June following reports of a disturbance inside the venue. A man in his twenties was treated by paramedics after being punched squarely in the face. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and has since been discharged to recover at home.
Officers patrolling the area quickly arrested a 23-year-old man nearby in connection with the attack, but he has since been released without charge as enquiries continue. Kent Police have now issued a photograph of a man who was in the area at the time and may hold vital information about the assault. Anyone who recognises the individual in the image, or who witnessed the altercation, is urged to contact Kent Police on 01795 419119, quoting reference 46/103541/26. Alternatively, information can be passed completely anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
