An investigation has been launched by Kent Police following a serious assault near Paddock Wood, and officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to come forward.
The incident occurred at around 12:30 am on Wednesday 17 June 2026 on a roundabout near The Hop Farm in Beltring. It is alleged that a man was assaulted at the side of the road by a person known to him. Kent Police attended the scene alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the victim was transported to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
Following the incident, a 32-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of assault and drink driving, and he remains in custody.
