Police have arrested three men and seized a knife following a swift response to suspicious activity at an industrial estate in Ashford.
Kent Police rushed to the Cobbs Wood site shortly after midnight on Wednesday 10 June 2026 after reports of men leaving a vehicle to approach a parked lorry. Officers arrived promptly at the scene and detained the occupants of a black Audi estate.
Upon inspection, patrols discovered that the lorry had sustained damage to its side. A subsequent search of the area recovered balaclavas, gloves, and a utility knife. Officers also seized the vehicle alongside several different vehicle registration plates. The suspects, aged 37, 35, and 28, all from South Ockendon in Essex, were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody while enquiries continue.
