Essex Man Charged Over Major Drug Seizure in Dartford


A proactive patrol in Dartford has led to a series of drug charges after officers intercepted a vehicle on Willmot Road. The incident began on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 29, when police stopped a car at approximately 2:50 PM.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Police discovered and confiscated a significant haul of illegal substances, including suspected crystal meth, purple tablets, cocaine, and cannabis, alongside a quantity of cash.

Both the driver and the passenger were immediately arrested and taken into custody for further questioning. On Thursday, April 30, the investigation progressed a 27-year-old man from Romford, Essex was formally charged. His charges include possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, as well as driving while disqualified and operating a vehicle without insurance.

He was scheduled to make his initial appearance before the Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 1, 2026. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man from Belvedere who was also detained during the stop has been released on bail as detectives continue their enquiries into the matter.
