A pair of suspected thieves were quickly intercepted by authorities after targeting a building site in Folkestone.
The incident began in the early hours of Tuesday, April 21, near Bouverie Place, when police received reports of two individuals acting suspiciously. Witnesses observed building materials being loaded into a wheelie bin under the cover of darkness.
Responding officers arrived on the scene almost immediately, successfully detaining two suspects by 3:13 am.
Following the arrests, a 38-year-old man from Ashford and a 58-year-old man of no fixed address were both charged with theft. The two individuals were held in custody overnight and were scheduled to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today, 22 April 2026.
