Kent Police are appealing for public assistance following a violent incident in Minster on Sea that left both a man and his pet injured. The incident, involving a dog reported to be dangerously out of control, occurred at approximately 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

According to official reports, a dog escaped from its owner on Scrapsgate Road and launched an unprovoked attack on a local resident and his dog. The victim sustained multiple cuts to his hands during the struggle, while his pet suffered a significant neck injury that required veterinary treatment and stitches.

The dog involved in the attack is described as a Border Terrier and Cockapoo crossbreed.

Officers have conducted a series of local enquiries since the afternoon of the attack but have yet to identify the animal or its owner. Investigators are now turning to the community for help in identifying those involved to prevent further incidents.
