Kent Police are requesting public assistance and dashcam recordings following a serious road traffic incident in Edenbridge.

The collision, which involved a blue Ford Puma and a Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle, occurred on Ide Hill Road at approximately 5:30 pm on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

Emergency responders, including patrols and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, arrived at the scene to provide immediate aid. The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, sustained grave injuries and was subsequently transported to a hospital in London for treatment.

Following initial investigations at the scene, the driver of the Ford Puma, a 37-year-old local woman, was taken into custody. She was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving while unfit, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has since been released on bail while officers continue their enquiries.

Investigators are now keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet come forward, as well as any motorists who may have captured the incident on dashcam.
