Two suspects are set to appear in court, charged with the death of a man in Whitstable.
Kent Police was called to a report that a man had been assaulted in Belmont Road at 2.04am on Friday 3 April 2026. Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, where 19 year old Ashton Harrington was found to have sustained fatal injuries consistent with stab wounds and died at the scene.
On Monday 13 April officers arrested two men at a property in Sittingbourne and the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a charge of murder against a 19 year old man from Sittingbourne and a 21 year old man from Herne Bay. Both men have also been charged with possession of a bladed article.
They have been remanded to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court today Wednesday 15 April.
