Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were dispatched to Byron Avenue in Margate yesterday afternoon, 10 April, 2026, following reports of a significant house fire.
Upon arrival, control operators coordinated a response involving four fire engines and a specialized height vehicle to tackle the incident.
Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus entered the property and utilized main jets to successfully bring the flames under control and extinguish the fire. During the operation, two people were assessed at the scene and subsequently handed over to the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics.
While the fire has been suppressed, the specific cause of the outbreak remains under investigation at this time.
