The Kent Neuro Therapy Centre in Canterbury has been officially selected as the 2026 Charity of the Year by the staff at Furley Page. This partnership marks a significant commitment from the leading law firm to support essential neurological care and rehabilitation services within the local community.

As a self-funded charity, the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre provides vital assistance to more than 600 individuals across Kent every year. The facility specializes in supporting those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, and the long-term effects of strokes. Through personalized therapy programmes, patients can access specialized treatments such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, oxygen therapy, and professional counselling. The Centre has also recently expanded its scope to include a wider range of neurological and long-term health conditions, ensuring that even more residents can improve their physical well-being and independence.

Nancy Reed, Head of Income Generation at Kent Neuro Therapy Centre Charity, expressed her gratitude for the partnership, noting that the support from Furley Page staff will be instrumental in delivering specialist therapies that directly impact the quality of life for their members. She emphasized that the Centre is eager to collaborate with the law firm’s team, offering them firsthand opportunities to see how their fundraising efforts translate into life-changing support for patients.

The fundraising initiatives will be managed by the Furley Page Foundation, a charitable trust dedicated to the firm’s corporate social responsibility goals across Kent. Each year, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees—comprising Partners and elected staff—oversees the distribution of funds, while the staff body votes to select a primary beneficiary.

Following a highly successful year of fundraising for Pilgrims Hospices, the Furley Page team is now shifting its focus toward a busy calendar of events scheduled throughout 2026. These activities will raise essential funds to sustain the Centre’s operations and ensure that those living with complex neurological conditions in Kent continue to receive the expert care they require.

Furley Page Partner and Head of Private Client, Aaron Spencer, sits on the Furley Page Foundation’s Board of Trustees. He said:

“For 2026 the Trustees of the Foundation have chosen to support the amazing work being done by the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre, and I have no doubt that all the team will throw themselves into their fundraising activities with typical gusto to raise as much as we are able.”
