BROADSTAIRS – Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a motorist fled the scene of a destructive multi-vehicle collision on Westwood Road Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 PM on March 18, 2026, when a blue BMW reportedly struck a lamppost. Following the initial impact, the vehicle swerved into several parked cars before finally crashing into the exterior wall of a residential property. While the collision caused significant property damage, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported at the scene.
According to witness reports, a male occupant exited the BMW immediately after the crash and fled the area on foot before emergency patrols arrived. Despite a search of the vicinity, the individual remains outstanding. Investigating officers are now calling on anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who observed the blue BMW’s driving behaviour prior to the incident, to contact them. Additionally, residents or motorists with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage are urged to come forward to assist in identifying the driver.
