Health officials are intensifying their response to a “severe and rapid” outbreak of Meningitis B in Kent, which has now reached 29 cases as of today, March 20, 2026.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) confirmed that 18 cases have been laboratory-validated, with another 11 under investigation. Sadly, two deaths have been linked to the cluster, which is being described by experts as the largest of its kind in a generation.
