Kent Police are appealing for information after two men sustained serious injuries during an assault in Maidstone on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency services were called to County Road at 3:33pm on March 11, 2026, following reports that two victims in their 20s had suffered wounds consistent with a knife attack.
Responding officers found the injured men being treated by paramedics at the scene. Both victims were subsequently transported to a local hospital, where their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. Following initial investigations at the site, a police cordon remained in place for several hours before being lifted at 8:30pm.
Detectives are now looking to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of County Road, Sandling Road, Week Street, or Holland Road between 2pm and 4pm on the day of the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Faulkner said:
‘I would like to reassure members of the community that incidents like this are rare, and we are working at pace to find those responsible. The public may notice increased patrols in the area over the coming days.
‘While the investigation is still in its early stages, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual or who may have relevant information to come forward. Even the smallest bit of information could be useful.’
