Police Seize Off-Road Motorbike in Swanley

An off-road motorcycle has been seized following reports of antisocial riding and criminal damage in Swanley.

The motorbike was seized

Kent Police was called at 11.58am on Tuesday 17 February 2026 to New Barn Road where a caller reported a bike was currently being ridden in a disruptive manner. Earlier reports had also been made about tyre damage to the nearby skatepark.

Officers went to the scene, but the rider failed to stop and drove off. Enquiries were completed and the vehicle was tracked down to an address in Conifer Way, where it was seized. A local man, aged 19, later attended Swanley police station where he was interviewed under caution about several offences.

Inspector Daniel Hinrich from Swanley’s Community Safety Unit said:

‘We’d received reports from the local community about antisocial riding across the town and we know how much of an impact this behaviour can have.

‘Officers are keen to crack down on nuisance vehicles and we regularly work with residents and business owners to gather information that allows effective and timely enforcement.

‘We’d ask people to continue reporting this type of offence via our website so that we can make best use of our resources and continue to improve quality of life for the community.’
