Detectives investigating an unprovoked assault at a local village pub have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Officers have provided the following description of the individual they are seeking: White male with short brown hair last seen wearing a dark jacket. (Shown above)

The incident occurred shortly after 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at The Samuel Palmer on Church Street, Shoreham, when, according to reports, a woman was assaulted by a man who was not known to her. The suspect fled the scene immediately following the attack. Kent Police attended the scene shortly after the report was made. While no physical injuries were reported by the victim, officers conducted initial enquiries and are now turning to the public for help identifying the man pictured in the CCTV footage.

Anyone who may have relevant information, including mobile phone footage, who has not yet spoken to police, is urged to come forward. Witnesses should contact Kent Police on 01622 604100 quoting 46/201548/25. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or use the online form.
