Investigators have charged a woman with arson following a fire in Chatham. The incident happened at Carton House in New Road at around 12.05am on Saturday 13 December 2025.
Patrols and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the blaze was extinguished. A pile of rubbish was reportedly set alight causing damage to a Jaguar and other vehicles in the parking area.
An investigation was commenced and a suspect was arrested on Friday 19 December. A woman from Chatham was later charged with arson. The 40-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 16 January.
