A dealer from Chatham who secreted a bundle of drugs wrapped in cling film on his body has been jailed following a Kent Police investigation.

Ozioma Egbujor, 27, admitted to offences related to the supply of class A substances in the Medway towns between February and March 2025.

Patrols were alerted to suspicious behaviour on Monday 3 March 2025 after visiting an address in Magpie Hall Road as part of their duties.

Egbujor, who was found upstairs inside the property, was detained while a search was carried out. Officers seized 40 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine which had been tucked inside Egbujor’s trouser pocket, along with cash and two mobile phones. An additional strip search led to the recovery of a further 100 wraps, which were concealed on his person. He was charged later that day.

After pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, Egbujor was sentenced on Wednesday 7 May 2025 at Canterbury Crown Court to five years and eight months in prison.

Detective Constable Hannah Hills said:

‘Drug dealers may go to great lengths in their attempts to hide evidence from us, but we will always carry out robust investigations to ensure that their illegal activity is exposed and they are made to face the consequences of their actions.

‘I’m pleased that Egbujor has received a custodial sentence and that the substances found on him will not end up on the streets of Kent.’
