Kent Police have charged two people in connection with an ongoing investigation into a series of keyless car thefts in west Kent.

Officers responded to a reported burglary at a home near Brittains Lane, Sevenoaks, around 12:30 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. It is alleged that three individuals forcibly entered the property and stole the keys to an Audi RS3 before leaving the area prior to police arrival.

Following initial inquiries, Kent Police identified a vehicle believed to be linked to the incident and with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police Service, the vehicle was located near Eltham where two individuals were apprehended.

The pair were taken into Kent Police custody and subsequently arrested for their suspected involvement in a conspiracy related to keyless car thefts spanning Kent and the Metropolitan Police area. They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 25, and have been remanded in custody. A further hearing is scheduled to take place at Maidstone Crown Court at a later date.
