A CCTV image showed Wayne in Central Park

Wayne Parchment, 61, was last seen by a relative in the Spital Street area on Thursday 10 April 2025. On the following day, CCTV captured Wayne entering Central Park from Market Street at 9.46am, as he walked near the bandstand.

Specialist teams, assisted by the National Police Air Service and Kent Search and Rescue volunteers, have been making extensive checks in areas of the town that include Central Park and Brooklands Lake.

Chief Inspector Lee Cheesman said:

‘Our last sighting of Wayne was on CCTV a week ago. Our searches will continue over the Bank Holiday weekend and I am urging local people living close to the park, including the Tree Estate, to check their properties, gardens and outbuildings. Cyclists, dog walkers and others who are out and about in the town and surrounding areas are also asked to remain vigilant.’
